On June 14th, Ben Stear, a player from Central Bucks South suffered a broken neck in a spring league game. He has undergone a pair of surgeries at Jefferson Hospital and is now preparing for a trip to Atlanta where he faces a very difficult recovery. To help Ben and his family, a fund has been established. Anyone who would like to help out the Stear family during this difficult time can make a donation.
Donations can be made to the Ben Stear Fund

Please keep in mind that health insurance does not even come close to covering the ex=penses that the Stear’s have and will continue to encounter. From gas, parking, food, etc while traveling back and forth to the hospital now, and future expenses while he rehabs in Atlanta, we need to help them in any way.
The prayers and best wishes of the entire SHSHL go out to Ben and his family during his recovery.

As some of you may have noticed, the website has been under attack by hackers for a number of weeks. Our database was the target using a method called SQL injection. In lay man's terms, they were exploiting holes in the database software that I had not closed. If you would like more information on what took place, you can plug SQL injection into a Google search. What they were attempting to do was change links on our website so that users would go to their website instead of where they were expecting to go.
The attacks were automated and the extent of the damage caused was that they were able to alter data that existed in the database. Between the logs that the hosting service provides and the custom tracking built into the system, it was very easy to identify exactly how and through which parts of the site were being exploiting. I believe that I have found and closed all of the ways they were able to get in. I am still reviewing all of the code to prevent future attacks from being successful.
The end result of the attacks was that some data was corrupted, particularly website addresses and email addresses. As a precaution and to ease restoring the site to an operational status, I removed some information from the site. In particular, I deleted all websites listed in the links section and all users. Because of this, when we start up again all users will need to register even if they previously held an account. Also, please re-submit your team website for the links page.
I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. I assure you that no personal information was extracted from the site, the hackers were only able to alter existing data. If anyone has further questions about this situation please feel free to drop me an email. rgallagher@tyegher.com
