Varsity Head Coach Matt Stabile

In a continuing effort  to build the Pennridge program in to the BEST Scholastic Program in the area, the PIHC Board is proud to announce Matt Stabile as Head Coach for the 2015-16 Varsity campaign.    Matt's contact information and excerpts from his bio can be found below:

I was born in Hatfield where I grew up playing hockey starting with the Melody Brook Lasers. The joy of playing hockey continued to grow and after a few years I joined the Ice Dogs Hockey Club. I played my scholastic hockey for Lansdale Catholic and played Varsity Hockey for them.

My coaching career began in the spring of 2010 when I was an assistant coach for the spring league team. It continued into the fall when I was assistant coach for the junior varsity team , AA junior varsity and the varsity teams. In 2013 I became the head coach of the junior varsity team and continued my assistant coaching duties for the varsity. Last year I solely focused on being an assistant coach for the varsity hockey. This spring when the opening for the varsity coaching position became available I immediately put my name in to take over the position. From the time I started coaching my ultimate goal was to be in this position. I am extremely excited and proud to take the helm of this team. In my time coaching I've be able to learn a lot from all the coaches I've worked with and I am extremely confident that the coaching staff that has been assembled will be able to help continue the proud tradition of the Pennridge ice hockey organization.
